Ron & Susan welcome visitors to the cyber-kennel
for Kaliya Siberians. We are a small, family-based
Siberian Husky kennel located in Eagle River, Alaska.
Kaliya Siberians takes its name from two grandchildren,
KA-leb and ALIYA (Kaliya). Our primary interests are
in conformation and recreational mushing. In the past,
we have worked some of our
Siberians in agility.
Ron started
with his first Siberian named Simba in
Tucson, Arizona back in 1995. From the
Sonora desert to the northwest rain forest
of Ketchikan, and presently in Eagle River,
Alaska, we have grown to 12 Siberian family
members in residence.
First and foremost, the Siberian Husky
is an athletic, moderate-sized working
dog. To gain an understanding and appreciation
of what this means for the breed in terms
of structure and locomotion, we work
our dogs in harness all winter and enjoy
the conformation ring in spring and summer.
Marley loves his girls! Courtney

All of our dogs are members of the family,
and temperament is a key factor in our decision
to breed and raise pups. Puppies are socialized
with other dogs and people and needless to
say, we spend a great deal of time with them.
We will only breed when interested in keeping
puppies for our kennel. All dogs in our breeding
program are certified free of hip dysplasia
(OFA) and
inherited eye defects (CERF).
Please feel free to contact
us with questions and inquiries about
the breed.
